What should be maintained for uninterrupted log collection?

There are several things that should be taken care of for uninterrupted log collection: 1. You can't change the static IP configuration of your log server. 2. You can't change your logging rules or actions on your Mikrotik router, and if you change, your log server's static IP and logging remote address should be the same. 3. The Log Server should be turned on and off.

Just go to the Servers page and add a new router. That's it. Be careful about Mikrotik login credentials. If these are wrong, the server will not add them, and you will not get any logs from that router.

There are several things that should be checked if this problem arises: 1) Examine your Mikrotik server's firewall rules. 2)Check your log server's static IP, check your Mikrotik logging action fields and search for the Remote Address IP. If these IPs aren't the same, you won't have any logs. 3) Go to the Service Info page and ensure the Rsyslog and Mikrotik services are up and running.4) Ping your log server from the Mikrotik router to ensure that the routes are correct. 5) Examine your storage space to see if it is full.
